People at Wagadagam on Mabuiag Island are cultivating bananas in terrace-like constructions.
The land used for the crops is rich for planting. Rocks are put together in the terraces to direct water to the crops, which occurs at night. The whole of the banana tree is used, from cooking the fruit to making masks with the banana fibres.
