Narrabeen man killed

A 4,000 year old skeleton is found under a bus stop in Sydney’s northern beaches, becoming what is believed to be the earliest evidence of a ritual killing in Australia.

The remains were found when contractors were digging a trench for electricity cabling in Narrabeen.

‘Narrabeen Man’ is the oldest dated skeleton in Sydney.

But forensic analysis also reveals the man, who would have been 30 to 40 years old, has one spear barb wound in his left hip, two through his back and an axe wound in his skull.
